A historical and entertaining religious trip

The family of the Franciscan Child House / Bethlehem, represented by Father Sandro Tomašević, Director of the House, organized a historical and entertaining religious trip for the resident children to the city of Jericho. A year after its closure, which was punctuated by prayer, meditation and important information about the place from Father Sandro, and then went to the house of Zakka the tax collector for the first time, and the Sycamore tree, and later they went to Mount Qarntal and ascended to it on foot, interspersed with the explanation of the verse contained in the book The sacred thing is about the experience, and the meanings of the forty-day period in preparation for fasting and prayer, after which we went to the al-Auja spring and meditated in nature, and the trip was concluded in the Terra Santa Monastery, with lunch and sports.

Blessing of our new chapel

Today, 20th of January 2021 in our Franciscan boys home Custos of the Holy Land, fr. Francesco Patton blessed our new chapel painted by Anton Aoun in the presence of our new director fr. Sandro Tomašević and president of the Franciscan Foundation of the Holy Land fr. Peter Vasko, with fr. Ibrahim Faltas, director of the school Terra Santa Bethlehem, fr. Enrique Bermejo, guardian of the st. Catherine franciscan convent in Bethlehem and fr. Rami Asakrieh, parish priest of st. Catherine parish in Bethlehem.

Special thanks goes to fr. Emad Kamel which directed this house in the past period and was in charge of the decoration of the new chapel, as well to all other previous directors: fr. Fadi Azar, fr. Rami Asakrieh, fr. Marwan Daedes and as well to fr. Amjad Sabbara who was the founder of this house.We recommend our boys to your prayers, as well to the intercession of st. Anthony and st. Francis, members of the “Celestial family” with baby Jesus which is the name of our new little church in our house.
